Assessment of credits and examinations
(for the subjects I teach)

Credits

For most courses, you can earn credit by successfully completing one to three written tests (depending on the course). You must score at least 50% on each test (i.e., if the test is worth 20 points, you must score at least 10 points). When the test is online, it is usually necessary to score more than half of the points.

For some subjects, the credit is practical (a seminar work on a chosen and agreed topic or completion of a task arising from the material covered), while for others, the practical part is combined with a written test. Again, it is necessary to obtain at least 50% of the points in the written test.

Exams

The exams are mostly written (or online tests with compulsory consultation part), then graded according to the following table. Oral exams are graded similarly, but I use a percentage grade instead of points.

Points from the written exam Final grade according to ECTS Corresponds to numerical grade
0-19 - (F) -
20-24 E 3
25-29 D 2,5
30-33 C 2
34-37 B 1,5
38-40 A 1

For some subjects, the result of the credit will be taken into account in the examination assessment. Points in excess of 10 points will be added to the exam result (i.e. for example, if you score 14 points for credit, 4 points will be added to the exam result), then the following table will be followed:

Points from the written exam Final grade according to ECTS Corresponds to numerical grade
0-24 - (F) -
25-30 E 3
31-36 D 2,5
37-41 C 2
42-45 B 1,5
46-50 A 1

Dates of credits and examinations

You can register for exam dates in the information system. Please note that the number of dates listed at the beginning of the exam period is not final and additional dates may be added as needed.

If for some (serious) reason no date suits you, please contact me and we can arrange another date. However, I do not promise anything, if I am not in Opava, there will be no next date. So don't leave your duties to the last minute.
